Round 1 Complete
First round in the bag, and what a weekend it's been. Lots of learning across the grid and some incredible racing on display throughout. Our riders showed real pace and determination, and there's plenty of positives to take forward.
Superstock Results
Blaze Baker – Qualifying: 18th | Race Result: 21st
Max Lofthouse – Qualifying: 21st | Race Result: 20th
Gavin Watts – Qualifying: 34th | Race Result: 31st
The Superstock class delivered a tough opening test. With a strong entry and little room for error, qualifying position played a major role in how the race unfolded. Starting in the pack meant traffic, pressure, and the need to make progress without losing rhythm.
Blaze Baker qualified 18th and finished 21st. It was one of those weekends where the headline result only tells part of the story. Starting inside the top 20 gave him a base to work from, and while the race result slipped back slightly, the pace shown across the weekend offered useful signs for the rounds ahead.
Max Lofthouse qualified 21st and came home 20th in the race. Moving forward, even by a single place, matters in a class where margins are tight. It showed he had the consistency to stay in the fight and bring the bike home with information the team can use.
Gavin Watts lined up 34th and finished 31st. That progress through the race will be a positive takeaway. Starting further back is never easy, especially at a circuit where passing can take patience and timing, but gaining positions still tells a story of persistence and focus.
The Superstock result overall gives the team a working platform. There is pace to find, especially in qualifying trim and early race positioning, but all three riders completed the weekend with lessons in the bank.
That is the key phrase after Round 1: lessons in the bank. Opening weekends are not won in the workshop alone. They are shaped by what the stopwatch says when the riders are in traffic, under pressure, and managing a full race distance.

Sportbike Results
Josh Froggatt – Qualifying: 23rd | Race 1: 21st | Race 2: 23rd
Aaron Robinson – Qualifying: 29th | Race 1: DNF | Race 2: 28th
The Sportbike riders had a full weekend of work with qualifying followed by two races. That format gives more opportunity to learn, but it also places more demand on the riders and crew. A strong second race response can matter just as much as a first race result.
Josh Froggatt qualified 23rd, then finished 21st in Race 1 and 23rd in Race 2. That was a steady opening weekend, with a gain in the first race and a second finish to round out the event. In a first round, two race finishes bring value. They give the rider laps under race pressure and give the team a better comparison between setup direction and performance.
The Race 1 result showed progress from qualifying, which is always useful. Race 2 then offered another reference point, even if the finishing position matched his starting slot from qualifying. The team will now look at where time was gained, where it was lost, and what changed between the two races.
Aaron Robinson had a more challenging start. He qualified 29th, recorded a DNF in Race 1, then returned to finish 28th in Race 2. The DNF will need review, but the response matters. Getting back out, resetting, and completing Race 2 gave him something positive to end the weekend.
That kind of reset is not always easy. A non-finish can break rhythm, especially early in a season. The fact Aaron returned to the grid and brought the bike home in the second race gives the team useful data and gives the rider a base to carry into the next round.
Across Sportbike, the theme was clear: build from the race laps. Qualifying gives track position, but race distance shows the true picture. The team now has more information on how each rider performs as the race settles, how the bikes behave across changing conditions, and where adjustments can bring the biggest return.

Plenty of positives to take forward
The opening round is now complete, and it leaves the team with a clear mix of positives and priorities.
The positives are easy to see. The riders showed pace, determination, and the will to keep fighting through a demanding weekend. The team now has real race data from both classes. There were finishes, there was progress, and there were moments that showed what can be built on.
The priorities are just as clear. Qualifying gains will help reduce the work needed in the races. Race pace needs careful review. The team will look for the changes that bring more confidence and consistency, especially as the championship moves to Donington Park.
Oulton Park was the first step, not the final measure. The grid is strong, the racing is intense, and every round will demand improvement. That is the challenge, but it is also the opportunity.
Now the focus turns to the next two weeks. The data will be reviewed, the key adjustments will be made, and the riders will prepare for Round 2 at Donington Park.
